Meet Dr. Tara Halliwell-Kemp
Dr. Tara Halliwell-Kemp, a Buffalo native, is an alumni of Canisius College where she obtained her Bachelor of Science. Following her studies at Canisius, Dr. Halliwell-Kemp, went on to the University at Buffalo, where she obtained both her dental (DDS) and medical (MD) degrees and completed her national board certification. After dental school, she trained at a fully accredited 6 year dual degree oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the University of Buffalo as well as completed an oral and maxillofacial surgery fellowship in New York City. She is trained in the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery which includes dentoalveolar surgery, dental implants, facial reconstructive surgery, corrective jaw surgery, and management of tempromandibular joint disorders. She is a clinical instructor at the University at Buffalo and has affiliations with the Kaleida Health System Hospitals and the Erie County Medical Center. She is a member of various local, regional and national dental and oral and maxillofacial surgery organizations, and is currently President of the Erie County Dental Society.
